Mistral Air Fed Respirator Three Stage Kit Providing Quality Breathing Air.

The starting point for any air fed respirators for spray painting is ensuring that the air entering the mask is breathable. The Festo filter unit is there to filter out any particles, in the air stream and remove to a very high level the oil mist that is inevitable in compressed air lines, the final carbon filter stage, helps remove taste and odour which are unpleasant to the operator.

The Mistral Full Face air fed respirator is a comfortable, lightweight, wide visibility visor with waist-belt mounted combination carbon filter and safety regulator.

When Should I Use An Air Fed Respirator?

If you are spraying a product that contains isocyanates then the use of an air fed respirator becomes mandatory. No other type of respirator will protect your lungs or skin from the toxins in the Isocyanates.

An air fed respirator is beneficial to your health for all spray painting jobs, your face is protected and the cool flow of air is pleasant to breathe.

Air Requirements*:

The air fed respirator uses about 6 cfm of air, a 50 litre portable compressor would be the minimum size for a painter to use both the air fed hood and a spray gun simultaneously.

If using portable compressors it is better to have a separate compressor supplying the respirator.

*WARNING: This is not a life-saving piece of equipment, the compressed air supply must be inherently breathable air.
